Molly turned seven!

Molly had a birthday this month!

Johnny (my husband) had a birthday too, but I don’t have a picture for that one.

By the way, I hope everyone had a lovely Hall*ark Holiday oops, I meant Valentine’s Day. Yeah, hope y’all had a great Valentine’s Day! And don’t forget, you should tell (and show, ’cause words mean nothing without actions) your loved ones that you love them everyday.

A Knitting FO. And a Crochet FO?

So, my Bayerische socks are finally finished! I love these socks!

Then, we have . . . could it be . . .

Chanson En Crochet 1

why yes, it’s a crochet project (Chanson En Crochet)! (Don’t worry, knitting will always be my first love.)

Here it is lightly blocking/drying:

And finished with a button:

Not only was this my first crochet project (having a never crocheted more that a chain or crab stitch edge), but I finished it in about 4 days! I had seen the Chanson En Crochet pattern on Knitting Daily, but when I saw it in this post on Craftster, I decided I needed to figure out how to crochet so I could make it. It was a quick and easy project and I love it. So do all four of my girls and now they all want one too - so, I’ll be crocheting this one again.

Not that I’m a football fan or anything…

but, I did grow up in NY, on Long Island.

WOOHOO!! GO GIANTS!!

I’m glad they won!

It was a lovely tea party.

Yesterday, while the boys napped…

My firstborn ….

baby is now officially an adult! Sarah celebrated her 18th birthday on January 16th!

She chose an ice cream cake.
(Yes, that’s a seven with the end chopped off, so what of it, I didn’t have a one and I had to improvise!)

There she is, all growned up!!

Her childhood friend from New York came to visit:

(Huge deep sigh.) The years go by all too quickly. I had just turned 18 when she was born. It just went by so fast. I still remember snuggling in bed with her when she was a newborn. Everyone told me I was spoiling her and I just didn’t care. I couldn’t let her sleep all alone in a cold bassinet!! Lots of good memories. Lots. Love you Sarah.

Here they are on Daniel, they’re a little snug on him, he really needs the next size up.
He’s um… fixing the attic door I guess!

Birthday?

Me!

What? Who? Where?

Okay, if I must admit.

It was my birthday on the 3rd.

I am now 36.

40 is approaching must faster than I thought.

Still so many things on my list of “must do before I get old”.

40, HA! I laugh in the face of 40!
